West Cheshire College has become a Patron Member of the West Cheshire
and North Wales Chamber of Commerce in a collaboration which will allow more
businesses in the region to access training.
The membership, which started on April 1st, will allow the College
to work in close partnership with Chamber members to raise awareness about
funded training and Apprenticeship programmes that the College delivers.
Nigel Davies, Principal and Chief Executive of West Cheshire College, said: "The
College is delighted to become a Patron Member of the Chamber.
"As a specialist FE College, we work in partnership with local and regional
businesses to provide them with training and Apprenticeship programmes that
will help to up-skill employees as well as train and develop their future
workforce.
"Many SMEs are eligible to receive funding grants for training and we are keen
to ensure that businesses maximise on these opportunities. Our dedicated team
of business advisers are on hand to advise businesses on grants and training
courses.”
Colin Brew, Executive Director of Cheshire West and North Wales Chamber of
Commerce, said: "West Cheshire College will be a very valuable Patron Member
for the Chamber.
"We are looking forward to developing our partnership with them and
collaborating with the College through events, networking and other
opportunities.
"The College has fantastic facilities and we will maximise on using these
throughout the partnership.”
