Golden Square shopping centre in Warrington enjoyed a busy first half of 2016 after signing up 12 new tenants.
Recent additions to the complex, which comprises more than 800,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space, include Australian stationery company Smiggle, entertainment retailer HMV, restaurant chain Prezzo and fashion firm Select.
H1 2016 also saw jewellery brand Pandora double the size of its Golden Square unit to 1,163 sq ft, while camping specialist Millets moved into a larger, 1,983 sq ft store.
Looking ahead, Golden Square bosses confirmed that a further 17 deals are currently in the works.
Gavin Ingram, national director at LaSalle Investment Management, which owns the shopping centre, said: "With an excellent selection of brands and independent traders across 140 units and an annual footfall of 13m, Golden Square has become the premier destination for customers looking for great stores or somewhere to relax.
"This popularity with consumers has led to the scheme becoming a very attractive proposition for retailers, with more than 12 deals being completed in the first half of this year alone and 17 currently in the hands of solicitors."
Speaking further, Gavin said LaSalle’s confidence in Golden Square, demonstrated through a "sustained period of investment, development and consolidation” since acquiring the scheme in 2014, has "proven to be an attractive proposition” to both consumers and retailers.
He continued: "Looking to the future, we are in discussions with a number of global retailer brands and are also further developing the food and drink offering of the scheme.
"We are moving forward with a plan to expand the catering and leisure offering in the centre’s Old Market Square, and are in discussions with a number of brands with a view to expanding the catering offering in what is an attractive, open air environment."
