Starting on the 24th October the Small Business Saturday UK bus tour will be travelling the country visiting twenty nine towns and cities in five weeks including Chester!
It will be in Chester on Friday 11th November adjacent to the Town Hall Square from 10am – 2pm.
There will be a branded bus near the Town Square with FREE Small Business Saturday merchandising available to the public. CH1ChesterBID will also have a marquee on the square, this is your chance to engage with us to promote your small/independent business in Chester.
What is Small Business Saturday?
It’s a UK grass roots, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to ‘shop local’ and support small businesses in their communities.
Small Business Saturday 2016 will take place on Saturday, December 3rd.
How can Chester Independents/small businesses get involved?
CH1ChesterBID in partnership with Findit in Cheshire and Warrington are offering a chance for Independent/Small businesses from Chester to promote themselves on the day for FREE!
This will be a chance to celebrate all that’s independent in the City to consumers and the public using the Small Business Saturday Campaign and reinforce the ‘Shop Local’ message.
There will be opportunities for you as a Chester business to:-
- offer samples
- promote special offers
- undertake food sampling
- distribute flyers (we can display these for you if you can’t spare the time/staff)
- raise awareness of your brand
………perhaps you’d like donate a prize for a raffle? You can also exhibit in the marquee and showcase your businesses.

We will be hosting a short drop in session at the Town hall from 8.30am – 9.30am om Friday 11th November providing you with an opportunity to network and meet with other small business, and to drop off any flyers, samples or promotional items you may wish to give out on the day!
