Date added: 24/02/2016

Online retailer The Hut Group has reportedly agreed a deal to buy a haircare brand sold in retailers across the UK.

According to Sky News, the Cheshire business has bought Grow Gorgeous from the Deciem beauty house in Canada.

Grow Gorgeous is sold in Boots and Selfridges among others.

The Hut, which recently moved into a 690,000 sq ft logistics and manufacturing facility at Omega in Warrington, last year announced a £210m funding deal with a group of six banks to support its expansion plans.

It said that the increased funding base would be used for general corporate purposes and strategic initiatives including possible mergers and acquisitions, as well as investment in the group's nutrition production centre.

The Hut's brands include Zavvi, Mankind and Coggles.
