The deal was assisted by corporate finance specialist MC Vanguard and FDR Law.

SCS Technologies founder and director Mike Jeffery said the transaction would broaden its service offering, skills and knowledge base to help boost market share both regionally and nationally.

Jeffery said: "We have spent more than two decades building SCS into the successful business it is today through organic growth. Acquisitions across the North West are a key part of our growth strategy and given their vast experience of the SME market, we sought the expertise of MC Vanguard to guide us through our latest acquisition.

He added that the acquisition of Viewcomms would "help us develop in the field of satellite, home entertainment and digital aerial installations".

Viewcomms owners and managing director Steve Bushell will continue to work in the business following the deal.

He said: "We are extremely proud of what we have achieved at Viewcomms. It was crucial to us that we paired with a buyer who shared our ethos and who could develop the business in the right way.

"SCS is passionate about providing clients with pioneering technologies, systems and services from one single source. The firm's ability to offer integrated solutions differentiates it from competitors.

"It has a strong reputation for having a specialist team whose consultative approach ensures they work together with clients to deliver a bespoke, cost-effective and managed solution. This all makes it an ideal partner.

"Viewcomms' niche as a highly skilled aerial and satellite installer will thrive with the greater ballast of SCS Technologies. It will also complement a much broader service range including personalised digital signage, commercial displays and innovative video conferencing to hotel TV systems, integrated reception systems, aerial and satellite equipment, Wi-Fi, IPTV and AV equipment."
