In June and July 2017, every business on Sealand and West Chester Employment Park will have an important choice to make; the decision to either vote YES or NO to the West Chester Commercial Business Improvement District (BID).
If successful, the BID proposal will deliver a programme of business led projects and services worth nearly half a million pounds of private sector led investment over a five year period which will ensure Sealand and West Chester Employment Park is successful in the drive to becoming an outstanding location for trade and business for companies and employees alike.
Projects over the five year period will include significant image enhancements undertaken across Sealand and West Chester Employment Park as well as the development of an improved greener trading environment for business and employees to enjoy. Enhanced security will ensure that the trading environment is as safe as possible for all businesses operating on Sealand and West Chester Employment Park, while a dedicated Estate Manager employed by BID specialists Groundwork will ensure that businesses’ voices are heard.
Groundwork BID Manager Jane Hough is hopeful that businesses in the area will seize the opportunity to inject considerable investment into their trading environment.
"A wealth of positive feedback regarding the BID has been received from a number of businesses across Sealand and West Chester Employment Park, with companies both large and small reporting that the projects and services to be delivered by the BID are essential to their future security and development.”
West Chester Commercial BID Steering Group Chairman Jordi Morell has also been just as instrumental in flying the flag for change on Sealand and West Chester Employment Park after months of consultations with companies.
"A ‘yes’ vote will result in businesses working together in partnership to develop and enhance Sealand and West Chester Employment Park to its full potential as an excellent location for companies and organisations.”
"The BID will harness everything that Sealand and West Chester Employment Park already has to offer and transform it in to a place where businesses can thrive and prosper.”
Councillor Brian Clarke, Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Infrastructure is just as enthusiastic regarding the prospect for change at Sealand and West Chester Employment Park.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for businesses to secure a future which will see Sealand and West Chester Employment Park become a premier environment to work in. One of our key priorities is to make West Cheshire a great place to do business, and the BID can help the area transform in to one of the best locations to trade and conduct business in West Chester.”
"The implementation of the range of new improvements and enhancements planned over the next five years will ensure that West Cheshire Commercial BID can develop into a Business Park of high quality and one where companies can enjoy the results that this substantial investment will provide.”
Voting papers have already hit desks and businesses now have 3 weeks to make their decision before the result is announced on Friday 7th July.
