Pochin's has been awarded a £10.2m contract to build a 103,000 sq ft Liverpool scheme for discount retailer TJ Morris, which trades as Home Bargains.
TJ Morris has selected Pochin's to create three new buildings within its head office complex (pictured) at Axis Business Park in Gilmoss due for completion in August 2016. The development involves creating a 67,000 sq ft distribution warehouse, a 19,000 sq ft gym and leisure facility, and a 17,000 sq ft vehicle maintenance unit.
Joe Morris, operations director of TJ Morris, said: "As a member of The Sunday Times Fast Track 250, we are constantly looking for ways to improve our offering to our clients as well as our staff. These new facilities will significantly enhance our distribution capabilities and we're delighted to be able to provide these new leisure facilities for our staff.
"We have been extremely impressed by Pochin's track record in the North West and we look forward to working with them on this exciting development."
The announcement follows the news that Pochin's has been chosen to build a 237,000 sq ft commercial development at Trafford Point as well as the Rooftop Gardens residential scheme in the Castlefield area of Manchester.
Jonathan Pochin, managing director of Pochin Construction, said: "Securing a project of this size with one of the UK's largest privately owned companies is testament to the calibre of work Pochin's is currently undertaking.
"This is our third £10m+ contract in a matter of weeks, and we're extremely pleased to see our project pipeline expanding with industrial, residential and commercial properties across the North West."
