Nuclear services provider Cavendish Nuclear is moving hundreds of staff to its new base at Birchwood Park in Warrington.
The company will occupy the 47,149 sq ft 106 Dalton Avenue property after signing a deal with the business park’s manager, PATRIZIA UK.
Cavendish Nuclear, which delivers services across the entire lifecycle of nuclear energy, was previously based across sites in Daresbury Park and Irlam.
Given 106 Dalton Avenue’s position within the Cheshire Science Corridor Enterprise Zone, the company is expecting to save as much as £275k on business rates over the next five years.
Cavendish Nuclear’s Kevin Garvie said: "Birchwood has been at the heart of the UK’s nuclear industry for many years, so it made complete sense for us to join this world-class cluster for nuclear engineering, research, training and project delivery.”
"Enterprise Zone status gives us an unrivalled opportunity for collaboration with other science and engineering businesses, as well as support to grow.”
He added: "We’re delighted to become a part of the Cheshire Science Corridor Enterprise Zone and look forward to developing strong links here at Birchwood Park and beyond.”
Birchwood Park commercial director Martin O’Rourke commented: "The arrival of Cavendish Nuclear is a great way to mark one year of the Cheshire Science Corridor Enterprise Zone.
"I’m confident that the network of companies across the Enterprise Zone, as well as the unique cluster of nuclear businesses here, will provide Cavendish Nuclear with endless growth opportunities while at Birchwood Park.”
