A Liverpool-based maritime services giant, an online clothing retailer in Greater Manchester and a Cheshire dairy company are among more than 30 North West companies that have won Queen's Awards for Enterprise, one of the most prestigious business awards in the UK.
Business secretary Sajid Javid has announced that 243 businesses across the UK have received a new Queen's Award for Enterprise, recognising their contribution to international trade, innovation and sustainable development. Of the 150 companies that won a Queen's Award for International Trade, 89 per cent have worked with UK Trade & Investment to sell overseas.
