More than 1,000 jobs are being created at Manchester Airport, which is gearing up for its busiest ever summer.
Positions on offer at the Manchester Airport Jobs Fair 2017 include bus drivers, meet-and-greet drivers, receptionists and security officers, with full training programmes offered to successful applicants. Besides the airport, other employers recruiting at the event will include Swissport, Gate Gourmet, Menzies Aviation, Broderick's and SSP.
The airport is also working with local authorities across Greater Manchester to hold events throughout the region in the coming weeks aimed at giving jobseekers more information about the opportunities on offer.
Ken O'Toole, Manchester Airport chief executive, said: "Manchester Airport plays a vital role in providing international connectivity for the North and we are pleased to have delivered 34 consecutive months of growth, offering leisure and business passenger a broader choice of destinations than ever before in our history.
"But what is particularly pleasing about this growth is that it creates employment and training opportunities for people across the region, as well as a number of wider economic benefits.
"This year is set to be Manchester Airports busiest ever to date and the recruitment for these roles demonstrates the positive impact our growth has.
"We are looking forward to staging this jobs fair, along with other events across the region, to give as many people as possible access to employment at the airport."
The jobs fair takes place at Lancashire County Cricket Club's The Point complex from 10am to 4pm on 22 February 2017. Those wishing to attend can register for an hour's time slot by visiting the Manchester Airport website.
