Kew Green Hotels has opened a new ibis Styles hotel in Crewe that draws inspiration from the town's motoring heritage.
The site is the first Kew Green-managed hotel to open its doors under the ibis Styles name with three more to follow in the autumn at Haydock, Birmingham Airport and Barnsley.
The theme of ibis Styles Crewe takes inspiration from 1920s transportation in a nod to the local Rolls-Royce and Bentley factories that spearheaded the UK's car-making industry.
Fabrics are decorated with bold patterns and geometric shapes in the design of train carriage seats while the hotel also features a walnut front desk.
Meanwhile, seats in the bar are sourced from vintage cars, and train murals and railway-inspired panelled headboards make an appearance in the bedrooms.
David Tucker, general manager, said: "The town of Crewe has made a huge impact on transport as we know it, and therefore we felt it was only right we brought these elements to life through the craftsmanship and details on display throughout the hotel."
Graham Norris, director of operations for managed hotels at Kew Green, added: "We're thrilled to kick-start our partnership with ibis Styles and linking our strong management credentials with the distinctive design ethos of ibis.
"Crewe has made a huge impact on transport as we know it and we therefore felt it was only right we paid homage to this in the design of the hotel. We look forward to rebranding three further hotels over the coming weeks and strengthening our offering to customers."
The hotel has 117 bedrooms as well as seven conference and meeting rooms.
