A Chester-based ice cream maker whose products are stocked by Waitrose, Ocado and Tesco has bought a stake in a West Country counterpart.
Beechdean Group, the company behind the Beechdean and Loseley brands of ice cream, has acquired 50 per cent of Lovingtons in Somerset for an undisclosed sum.
Beechdean was founded in 1989 by Andrew and Susie Howard and has grown to deliver more than 150 million portions of ice cream per year.
