Hoole High Street is battling against competitors from Yorkshire and Taunton in the 2015 final of the Great British Local High Street Awards.
Hoole impressed the judging team with their social media campaign, filming videos showcasing the high street and getting local businesses and people to tell them why they deserved to win. The team behind the application, Notting Hoole, is a collaboration of residents and local, national and independent award-winning businesses. It works to enhance a vibrant, caring, and developing community which engages all age ranges and abilities through fund raising events and social media.
Chester MP Chris Matheson recently opened the Hoole Acupuncture Clinic on Faulkner Street – Hoole’s High Street. Congratulating owner and practitioner Moime Lee on her hard work and success Chris said the clinic was yet another reason to visit the vibrant centre of Hoole.
Moime thanked Chris for his kind words and said how happy she was to be located in such a friendly and supportive community and thanked all the many people who had joined in the opening celebration.
Winning the competition will support many of the small businesses in Hoole through the Great British High Street initiative.
