A Cheshire-based honey company has signed its first major deal with supermarket chain Booths.
Haughton Honey, which has more than 1,600 hives, will have its products stocked on shelves in Booths outlets across the North West.
The deal marks a pivotal moment for the business, which was launched in 2014. Haughton Honey believes its new contract will complement the independent delis, farm shops and retailers that currently stock its unpasteurised honey.
Founder Crispin Reeves said: "It has always been our aim to supply Haughton Honey to top-end multiple retailers such as Booths which has an enviable reputation for its fine food and drink.
"We’re delighted that our honey is now on its shelves. It’s a ringing endorsement for us and for our honey.
"This deal is great news for the business and also good news for customers who have more places to buy Haughton Honey."
