Fitness event to bring 5,000 to Cheshire

Date added: 30/07/2015

Military assault course event Born Survivor is expecting to bring 5,000 participants and spectators to Cheshire in September.

Born Survivor, held at Capesthorne Hall outside Macclesfield, is also targeting more corporate involvement, with Barclays, ITV, Mercedes Benz, Travis Perkins and Siemens all entering the most recent event in April 2015.

The 10km assault course was created by Kevin Bedford, an ex-Royal Marines' Commando and Falkland's veteran who is now event director.

Bedford said: "This is the second year Born Survivor will return to Manchester and our fifth event in the last three years.

"Already, interest and take up has been stronger than 2014 with entries coming in thick and fast, meaning we're on target to have nearly 3,000 participate on the day; not to mention the similar amount of spectators our events always draw."

Entries for both the Born Survivor 10km are open online at www.born-survivor.com where Insider readers can take advantage of a 15 per cent entry discount by using the code INSIDER15 at checkout.
