Eating disorder charity brings 15 jobs to Warrington

Eating disorder charity Beat has moved its helpline service to Birchwood Park near Warrington from its head office in Norwich, creating 15 jobs.


It has relocated to 401 Faraday Street, Patrizia UK, Birchwood Park’s management company has announced.


Beat’s services include a phone and email helpline operating 365 days a year for people who have eating disorders as well as their friends and families, online support groups, the provision of awareness training in schools and workplaces, and a HelpFinder service to help people find treatment in their area.


Beat is currently seeking funding for a volunteer programme, which, once successful, will allow it to recruit additional helpline volunteers from the local area.


Caroline Price, director of services at Beat, said: "Birchwood Park’s central location was the deciding factor for us when looking for new office space.
