Footwear retailer Dr. Martens is opening a store in the heart of Chester this week.

Launching just in time for Christmas, the new 687 sq ft shop on Northgate Street has created 10 jobs.

Daniel Freeland, the company’s UK marketing manager, said: "Dr. Martens is excited to be opening its 6th and final store of 2016 in the beautiful city of Chester.

"Well-known for its historic landmarks, rich tourism industry and musical diversity, it was a natural fit for the brand."
