UK engineers from Daresbury in Cheshire have delivered a key piece of prototype equipment to one of the world’s most ambitious scientific experiments, currently being constructed in Sweden. STFC teams are playing a key role in the design and development of the €1.9bn European Spallation Source (ESS).
