Chester Renaissance and Cheshire West & Chester Council are hosting a drop-in session to inform the public on progress with the One City Plan, a 15-year programme of public and private investment and development across Chester.
The session is due to take place on Thursday 4 June, at 1-3pm and 4.30-7pm in Chester Town Hall’s Palatine Room.
Visitors can learn about the progress of the various initiatives that form part of the One City Plan, which aims to guide the future economic regeneration of Chester.
Projects to be discussed include the Re:New cultural centre being developed by the council at the former Odeon in Northgate Street, Muse Developments’ Chester Central Business Quarter, the new bus interchange at Gorse Stacks, the Chester Waterways strategy, the development of Dee House, the Chester Transport strategy and plans for the historic Rows.
Chester Renaissance and Cheshire West & Chester Council are working in partnership with the developers on each of the schemes.
Chris Capes, Chester Renaissance programme manager, said: "The drop-in session is part of a programme of events to keep the community updated on the strategy that aims to transform Chester into Britain’s most vibrant historic city.”
Members of project teams and Chester Renaissance will be on hand to answer any questions and discuss aspects of the plan.
