Cheshire voice and data services specialist Chess Telecom has completed its third deal in a month, with the trio adding £8m in additional revenues.
The company, based in Alderley Edge, has swooped for the business telecom assets of provider Businesscoms Consultancy, which is headquartered in Peterborough.
The acquisition follows the purchase of carrier services division of Calyx Managed Services for £1.8m and the swoop for IT systems provider Compwise Systems.
Chess chief executive David Pollock said: "All of these three businesses deliver technological advantage to customers – we have the talent, knowledge, skill, experience and drive to build a business we can all be proud of, our people will now strive to maximize the potential of these businesses within the Chess Group."
Chess has been an active consolidator in the telecoms marked and in November agreed a £30m funding deal to support its strategy.
In the year to 30 April 2014, the business reported revenues of £48.8m, up from £44.4m a year earlier.
Pre-tax profit grew 69 per cent from £4m to £6.8m while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation rose from £9.8m to £12m.
