Daresbury-based anti-microbial hygiene company Byotrol has grown revenues and narrowed losses, with chief executive David Traynor hailing the progress that the business made during the year.
According to its unaudited final results, headline revenues climbed by 4 per cent to £3.25m for the year ending 31 March 2015. Excluding a previously disclosed one-off suspension payment from a US licensee, meanwhile, underlying revenues effectively increased by more than 20 per cent.
Meanwhile, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation narrowed to £418,000 in 2014/15 from £744,000 a year earlier. And excluding the above one-off payment, the company reported that earnings effectively fell by more than 60 per cent.
David Traynor, chief executive of Byotrol, said: "We are pleased with progress this year.
"Financial performance is improving, our technology is now better in efficacy and breadth, and we are building a network of high-quality partnerships in sales, marketing and product development. We expect to make further progress in the coming year."
