The first commercial office space to become available at Alderley Park has been unveiled, with Bruntwood bringing 100,000 sq ft to market.
Parklands is a self-contained, purpose-built office building overlooking the park's farm and woodland. Spread over five floors, it can accommodate space needs from 5,000 sq ft up to the full building and is expected to be ready for occupation from April 2016.
Further office, laboratory and light manufacturing space is due to be made available throughout 2016 as the refurbishment of a further 300,000 sq ft is completed.
Sharon Johnson, head of regional sales at Bruntwood, said: "We're excited to be bringing Parklands to market. It's of such a high quality that a building like this is an extremely rare find outside of a city centre market.
"We are looking to attract a range of office occupiers who are seeking the beautiful countryside setting whilst benefiting from the amenities and community that a site of this scale has to offer."
Dr Chris Doherty, site director for Alderley Park, added: "Alderley Park holds an international reputation for bio and life science. We are creating a place that brings people of similar mindsets together in a collaborative community.
"Parklands offers a fantastic opportunity for businesses looking to base themselves in the Park and be an integral part of bringing our vision to life".
In March 2013, AstraZeneca announced a planned investment of around £330m in a purpose-built R&D centre and corporate HQ in Cambridge alongside proposals to end R&D at its Alderley Park complex, which had approximately 2,900 employees at the time.
The company, which planned to remain a tenant at Alderley Park with approximately 700 staff in non-R&D roles, estimated that around 1,600 roles would relocate from the site over a three-year period.
