The Botanist operator New World Trading Company, created by Living Ventures co-founders Tim Bacon (pictured) and Jeremy Roberts, has hailed exceptional trading across its sites after group turnover almost doubled to £17.7m.
Profits have also climbed past £500,000 at the Knutsford-based business following the opening of four new bar-restaurants.
New World Trading Company has posted a turnover of £17.7m in the year ending 31 March 2015, up by 83 per cent on a year earlier. All of the turnover was generated in the UK.
Pre-tax profits increased by 22 per cent to £507,477 over the same period.
During the year, the Botanist opened new bar-restaurants in Manchester, Chester, Newcastle and Birmingham.
Besides the Botanist, New World Trading Company also operates the Oast House in the Spinningfields area of Manchester, the Smugglers Cove on Liverpool's Albert Dock and a host of other bar, pub and restaurant venues.
In their report accompanying the accounts, the directors said: "All sites are trading exceptionally well and this has continued throughout 2015 and we look forward to reporting continued growth for the coming year."
New World Trading Company was created by Bacon and Roberts, who both retain significant shareholdings in the business, in 2011. LDC and Hill Capital Partners invested £2.7m into New World Trading Company in April 2013.
