The West Cheshire Women’s Business Network saw its highest
ever turnout at the Mercure Chester Abbots Well Hotel on 8th September.
Nearly 60 entrepreneurs and business owners from the region turned
out for the event, which saw event speaker Tim McCloud, owner of award-winning
integrated marketing agency TMC Strategic Communications, take to the stage to
deliver an interactive session.
In a career spanning more than 20 years in creative, branding
and marketing roles that have taken him to the USA and Europe, working for some
of the world’s biggest brands, Tim encouraged attendees to think outside the
box with a range of hands-on challenges, reinforcing his belief that creativity
can be used to solve many everyday problems in business.
Tim challenged attendees to take small steps in overcoming
larger ‘mental blocks’ and guided them in reaffirming their values, to give
greater clarity to what they do. Guests came away with handouts to record the
next steps in growing their business.
TMC was founded ten years ago through a belief that clients
should see real results, which Tim and his 14-strong team work to deliver through
creative, innovative and design led solutions. The company has been
recognised for its work with a string of national awards in areas including Strategic
Thinking, Corporate Communications and Online Creative. The team also currently
hold the RAR Grand Prix award for best agency with under 40 staff.
The Women’s Network, founded in 2013, is a partnership
between Ellis & Co Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers, NatWest
Bank, West Cheshire and North Wales Chamber of Commerce and Cheshire West and
Chester Council. The group hold four events each year, providing an opportunity
for local businesswomen to come together, network and meet like-minded people
from across the area.
Carol Vella
of Cheshire West and Chester Council said: "The fact that this has been our
biggest ever turnout to date is testament to how the event is proving
invaluable to businesswomen in the region.
"The network is going from strength to strength with quality
speakers and attendees stimulating some lively debate and a real energy at each
event.”
The next West Cheshire Women’s Network event will be a
Christmas Lunch, to be held on Thursday 1st December 12:30pm –
2:30pm at the Mercure Chester Abbots Well Hotel.
