Biopharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca is reportedly set to ramp up production at its Macclesfield campus.
The investment into its 3,500-strong Macclesfield campus is due to be announced this week to coincide with the launch of the government's life sciences industrial strategy, according to The Daily Telegraph.
The total value of the investment is thought to amount to tens of millions of pounds.
The move will increase capacity at the company's existing £150m factory on the site to meet soaring demand for prostate and breast cancer drug Zoladex from Asia.
The facility currently employs 300 staff.
Besides the Macclesfield campus, AstraZeneca also retains a significant presence in Cheshire at Alderley Park.
