The technical consulting and engineering business, which specialises in the nuclear industry, has completed a deal that will take its occupancy at the 47,500 sq ft 305 Bridgewater Place to more than 7,000 sq ft.
Ian Alderson, head of consulting and deputy managing director at AREVA Projects UK, said: "In 2016, our UK consulting business joined forces with AREVA’s UK engineering team to offer a fully integrated range of technical services to clients. A major part of integrating these services was finding a new office space which could cater for an increased number of staff, and facilitate collaborative working on a daily basis.
"Having enjoyed the many benefits that come with being based at Birchwood Park, we were very keen to stay on the park. The environment here is very much geared towards supporting business growth, from the availability of meeting rooms and networking spaces perfect for welcoming visiting clients, to the real community feel.”
Martin O’Rourke, commercial director at Birchwood Park, added: "It’s a mark of the flexibility on offer at Birchwood Park that we are able to accommodate occupiers’ growth plans.
"AREVA is the perfect fit for our thriving nuclear cluster so it made complete sense to find a new space for them on the park that could support the team at this pivotal moment for the business.”
The park is now owned by Warrington Council, which bought it for around £200m this year in one of the largest examples of public sector property investment. Patrizia manages the park.
