The Carriage Shed at the City Place development in Chester is set to become a unique al fresco food and drinks venue for three days this summer.
For this year’s Chester races, the covered venue will be transformed into Paddock Al Fresco Brunch Bar as it serves tapas-style grazing dishes alongside a selection of drinks.
The eatery will launch on June 10, reopening for further race events on July 1 and July 15.
Paddock Al Fresco Brunch Bar will be operated by outdoor food and drinks venue company Bubbles Bar Ltd, the firm behind Bubbles Beach Club on Liverpool’s waterfront in 2016.
Developer Muse Developments’ City Place scheme has played host to a number of business and public events since its opened last year.
Muse development director Phil Mayall said: "The Paddock Al Fresco Brunch Bar is a great example of the sort of events that we have planned throughout the year at the Carriage Shed.
"It’s a fantastic open-air yet covered space, which makes it perfect for a pop-up bar. It will be the first port of call for racegoers who are coming in to Chester on the train and making their way to the racecourse.”
He added: "I’d put a dead cert on The Paddock being a firm favourite on this year’s Chester races itinerary.”
