Aircraft manufacturer Airbus, which has UK bases in Filton and Deeside, has secured orders from four airlines.
AirAsia has signed a firm order with Airbus for the purchase of 100 airliners, taking its total number of A320 family planes ordered to 575.
Indian low-cost airline Go Air has chosen Airbus for its further expansion plans by signing a memorandum of understanding for 72 aircraft. Its total order book now stands at 144 following a similar order in 2011.
In addition, Germania Group has placed a firm order for 25 Airbus A320neos. The company currently operates fleet of 15 Airbus planes to destinations in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East from bases in Germany, Switzerland and the UK.
Low-cost Icelandic airline WOW air has also signed a firm order for four A321 aircraft, its first purchase agreement directly with Airbus.
Go Air chief executive Wolfgang Prock-Schauer said: "The new aircraft will help us in unlocking new domestic routes while providing a springboard for continued international network expansion in the years to come."
Karsten Balke, chief executive of Germania, added: "We are delighted to continue our successful collaboration with Airbus within the framework of our fleet renewal programme. The order of 25 A320neo fitted with the newest engines from Pratt & Whitney provides a solid basis for Germania's future business development."
The latest agreements, announced at this week's Farnborough International Airshow, follow other recent orders from Virgin Atlantic, Air Côte d'Ivoire, ARKIA Israeli Airlines and Jetstar Pacific Airlines.
