Cheshire West and Chester Council is undertaking this project to build and manage 18 workspace units, totalling 3,508 sqm (37,760 sq ft) of new / refurbished, high quality, flexible business start-up or grow on space.  These workspaces will be spread over three locations: Bumper’s Lane, Chester (10 units) Road 2 Industrial Estate, Winsford (4 units), and Dutton’s Business Centre, Northwich (4 units).  This business space will be marketed to all businesses with "growth capacity”, targeting those from energy, technology and advanced manufacturing sectors. The units in Winsford and Northwich are planned to be available from July 2018, and those in Chester from January 2019.

At the same time, business support services will be offered to at least 40 growth capacity businesses who can fulfil the relevant gateway criteria (both the prospective tenants and those from the wider target market). The project will provide access to a dedicated Business Development Officer, linked into Cheshire and Warrington Business Growth Hub. This will provide a wrap-around service for businesses and a tailored programme of networking. 

The project is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund, and also through Cheshire West and Chester Council’s Property Reinvestment Programme
